Supplies: Fabric, scissors, hot glue, E6000 glue, barrettes
Time: 30 minutes
Tomorrow I’m headed to New York for two weeks and the plans were made at the last minute, so today was all about crafting (and packing). I believe I made 11 crafts today, but the first one I made was for tonight. I love fabric and I love hair accessories and I just found some barrettes in a drawer, so I decided to make some fabric rosette clips!
Start by cutting the fabric into strips about 1″ wide. You’ll need 8 strips about 7 inches long.
Twist the first strip like this:
Using little dabs of hot glue here and there roll each strand into a little spiraled rosette.
Use E6000 glue to attach the rosettes to the barrettes in a row.
I asked my mom to model the clip for me since it’s really hard to take a picture of your own hair and she liked the clips so much she asked for them! Clips don’t stay in my hair anyway, so they’re hers now!
Back tomorrow from New York!
