Supplies: Scrapbook paper, something small and round to trace, scissors, glue, twine
Time: 15 minutes
It’s the first Ornament Monday! Every Monday between today and Christmas I will make an ornament. Today’s ornament is quite simple and made from paper. And if you happen to have a circle paper punch this will take no time at all!
Start by tracing something circular that’s 1-1.5″ in diameter eight times on the white side of a piece of scrapbook paper. You’ll need eight circles total, so trace four on one kind of paper and four on another.
Cut out the circles. This is where a circle punch would be great, but they’re kind of expensive.
Then fold each of the circles in half, patterned sides together. Glue the folded halves together in an alternate pattern until you have a little stack.
Cut a piece of twine, fold it in half, and tie a knot near the loose ends of the twine.
Open the stack of circles and lay the twine loop in the open section of the circles. Then glue the unglued parts of the circle ball together around the twine.
And, voila! Paper ball ornament!
Happy Ornament Monday!
